The old way vs. the heicfix way
Typical converter (server-based)
User → Upload → Server stores a copy → Server converts → Download
heicfix.pro (client-based)
User → Browser converts locally → Download
What happens under the hood?
- Client-side decoding: We use a WebAssembly/JS decoder to read HEIC and render a JPG in your browser.
- EXIF preservation (optional): We extract EXIF from your original file and write key fields (date/time, orientation, GPS) into the JPG.
- Batch and ZIP: Convert many files at once, and download a single .zip if you’d like.
